The Coronet and Sheltie Cavy Club was specifically set up to support breeders and exhibitors of the Sheltie and Coronet cavies and later on their rexoid counterparts, the Texel and Merino
These are four of the six currently recognised longhaired cavy breeds in the UK, and are all based on the sheltie:
